Your artwork, under macOS's own clock.
The blurred album art becomes the lock screen itself, so the real clock, the date and the password field sit on top of it — not a fake clock drawn over the system one. Touch ID and your password work exactly as always.
Shrink it
Tap the artwork, get your wallpaper back.
Tap the cover and it tucks into the player, on its left, with the title, the scrubber and every button — heart and sound output included. Your own wallpaper fades back in, with the real clock, your photo and the password field sharp on top — no smudge, no box. Your next lock starts the way you left it.
Live score
The match comes too.
Following a live match? With the artwork shrunk, the score sits under the player in your teams' colors, ticking along with the game — so you can walk away from the desk and still glance at it.
Make it yours
Classic, glass or mini.
Choose the player style, how big the artwork is, how see-through the glass is and how high everything sits, so it clears the clock on your screen. All of it in Settings → Lock Screen.
Unlock
Unlock, and it's gone.
Touch ID and you're back at your desktop exactly as you left it. No fade, no player left hanging around, no wallpaper to put back by hand.

- How it works
- macOS only draws your wallpaper under its clock, so while music plays Overnotch sets the blurred artwork as your real wallpaper and covers it on your desktop with your usual one, pixel for pixel.
- Your wallpaper is safe
- Stop the music or quit the app and your own wallpaper is back. Change it in System Settings and your choice wins.
- With music
- The artwork shows while something is playing with a cover. With nothing playing, you get your usual lock screen.
